Metal Dreamer began when Jeff Morin, successful entrepreneur and CEO, dared to step outside the bounds of his current companies. Jeff's knowledge of the metal-manufacturing industry began with his first company, Coins For Anything, while serving active duty in the Marine Corps. With the goal of providing the finest custom-made challenge coins on the market, he soon expanded the use of coins into unconventional markets and developed expert knowledge of metal manipulation.

With his mind constantly stirring up new business endeavors, Jeff became interested in expanding into stylish yet functional multi-tools. Not wanting to divert resources from his other companies, Jeff had to creatively think and explore different avenues for making this multi-tool dream a reality. Jeff decided to try a crowdfunding campaign for his first multi-tool design on Kickstarter. The campaign proved to be a tremendous success, and Jeff received more than enough funds to produce his first multi-tool—the parachute.

The immense popularity of the parachute led to many more campaigns and development of other trendy multi-tools. The success and development of Jeff's multi-tool endeavors inspired best friend and fellow Marine Corps Veteran, Chris Frederick, to embark on the pocket-tool journey. Chris went on to develop a multi-tool that is to this date, the highest funded project on Kickstarter in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.
